Frances Wilson (who blogs as The Cross-Eyed Pianist) is presenting another of her South London Concert Series concerts at Lassco Brunswick House in Vauxhall. And for this concert, she herself takes centre stage. Frances will be playing an eclectic programme, Debussy – Prelude from Suite Bergamasque, Matthew Sear – Preludes for Piano (premiere of pieces composed for Frances), Schubert – Impromptu in F minor, D935/1, Messiaen – Regard de la Vierge from Vingt Regards sur l’enfant Jesus. The concert takes the same format as others in the same series, with the main artist being supported by group of artists who are all talented amateur/semi-professional pianists (one is an anaesthetist, and another a financial software consultant).
The venue is a lovely 18th century house full of treasures and has a fine early 20th century Bechstein piano., The bar at Brunswick House Café will be open before and after the concert for the enjoyment of guests.
Frances Wilson & Friends - Thursday 22nd January 2015, the Saloon, LASSCO Brunswick House, 30 Wandsworth Road, London SW8 2LG. Doors open 7pm, concert starts 7.30pm.
