Philippe Graffin and Friends - celebrating 20 years in London

Philippe Graffin
French violinist Philippe Graffin is celebrating 20 years of living in London with a pair of concerts at St John's Smith Square on 20 February 2015, featuring new music specially written for him. Grafin will be joined by musician friends including cellist Raphael Wallfisch, the group Tango Factory and the composer David Matthews who will be playing the crotales.

Grafin is giving both concerts on the evening of 20 February, in the first concert Elgar's Piano Quintet and music by Debussy will be prefixed by David Matthews White Night. At the second concert Enescu's Sonata No. 3 for violin and piano will be accompanied a group of tangos written specially for Graffin by Marcelo Nisinman, based on songs by Barbara and Leo Ferre; songs which Graffin feels are part of the psyche of any Frenchman.
