Quickening approaches

Our CD, Quickening: songs by Robert Hugill to texts by English and Welsh poets is released on the Navona Records label on Friday (8 September 2017). The record labels New Releases page provides a nice preview of the recording along with a chance to hear Johnny Herford and William Vann in one of the songs.

The complete recording features baritone Johnny Herford, mezzo-soprano Anna Huntley, viola player Rosalind Ventris and pianist William Vann in four of my song cycles, setting poems by Rowan Williams (former Archbishop of Canterbury), A.E. Housman, Ivor Gurney and Christina Rosetti.
