The 2020 edition of the Tilford Bach Festival (founded in 1952 by Denys Darlow, the current artistic director is Adrian Butterfield) was due to take place next weekend (5 to 7 June 2020) in All Saints' Church, Tilford, new Farnham, Surrey. And whilst the live performances will not be going ahead, the festival hopes to put on live performances in September, but in the meantime there will be an on-line festival to whet appetites.

There are two concerts taking place on line. On Friday 5 June 2020, the London Handel Players, Rachel Brown (flute), Adrian Butterfield (violin) and Silas Wollston (harpsichord) in Bach violin and flute sonatas and arrangements of two of his organ trios. Then on Sunday 7 June, four of Adrian Butterfield's pupils from the Royal College of Music have recorded movements from Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for unaccompanied violin.

The concerts will be available via StageHub, so that ticket money raised can go to the artists. Full details from the festival website.
