The Salomon Orchestra are back at St. John's Smith Square on October 23 with a programme of symphonic music redolent of high romanticism, each work from a rather different tradition. The open with Wagner's
Prelude to
Parsifal. This is followed by music by a German composer from an entirely different camp, Brahms's
Violin Concerto with Russian violinist Anna-Liisa Bezrodny. Finally over to France, for Franck's
Symphony in D minor. The concert will be conducted by Robin O'Neill. Further information from the
Salomon Orchestra website.
