Monteverdi's L'Incoronazione di Poppea

Hampstead Garden Opera, now in its new home of Jackson's Lane Theatre, N6 5AA, opens its new production of Monteverdi's L'Incoronazione di Poppea on Friday 12 May 2017. The production is directed by Simon Iorio with Oliver John Ruthven conducting the period instrument ensemble Musica Poetica. The opera will be performed in Italian (the first time the company has not performed in English) with surtitles. Performances run from 12 May to 21 May with the operas being double cast.
