Recorder player Miriam Nerval is presenting a concert with a difference on 10 July 2014 as part of the City of London Festival. The concert will start at the church of St Sepulchre without Newgate and finish at the Old Bailey. During the event, Nerval will perform uses music from the Dolwand and Purcell to Stravinsky as a counterpoint to the story of The Old Bailey, narrated by The Recorder of London, Brian Barker QC. The event starts at 7pm and finishes with a reception under the dome of The Old Bailey. Further ticket information from the City Music Foundation website.
Miriam Nerval is one of the inaugural artists of the City Music Foundation (see my review of the showcase concert where she performed). Each year the City Music Foundation supports a group of talented young professional musicians, providing them with expert advice, guidance and support to help them to build successful careers in music.
