Tenebrae and Nigel Short have a new disc out, of Brahms and Bruckner motets, on Signum Records and a portion of proceeds from the disc will be donated to MacMillan Cancer Research – a cause chosen by sound engineer Andrew Mellor, in memory of both his own father and Tenebrae founding member Barbara Pollock. The group is launching the CD at a concert tomorrow night, 12 November 2015, at St James's Church, Spanish Place, the grand 19th century interior forming a terrific backdrop to the richness of Bruckner and Brahms's music.
As part of this concert, Tenebrae is welcoming the winners of the Locus Iste amateur choir competition, the Epiphoni Consort, for a collaborative performance of Bruckner's Locus Iste in celebration of the exceptional choral talent currently active in the UK.
Full details from the Tenebrae website.
