My choir, London Concord Singers starts rehearsals again this week, with musical director Jessica Norton. The choir will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with a concert on 8 December 2016 at the Priory Church of the Order of St John in Clerkenwell. The programme includes pieces from past programmes which have a special resonance with the choir, many of them old favourites or favourites of our founder, the late Malcolm Cottle. The programme includes Poulenc's Mass in G and music by Josquin, Palestrina, Byrd, Redford, Mendelssohn & Britten, plus my own Dominus Illuminatio Mea and the winning work in the choir's Anniversary Composition Competition, Alison Willis's Thou has made me endless.
As ever the choir is always keen to welcome new members, so if anyone fancies the challenge then please contact us on info@londonconcordsingers.org.uk. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings in Clerkenwell..
