Elixir Festival is a new mini-festival which is launching at Grand Junction in April 2024. Named for the Arabic al-‘iksīr (also known as the Elixir of Life), a symbol of healing, the festival celebrates and connects the diverse cultures of the Middle East and Africa, showcasing a line-up of international and local contemporary artists, featuring theatre, music, Eid celebrations, workshops, and food, celebrating contemporary arts from the Middle East, North Africa, and Anatolia.

Performers will include Palestinian singer Ruba Shamshoum, the Scottish/Egyptian duo, the Ayoub Sisters, Kurdish-Anatolian singer-songwriter Olcay Bayir and much else besides.
