The British baritone Robert Poulton was killed in a road accident in October 2012. A great loss not only to his family, but to the British operatic scene; at the time of his death he was performing in Dvorak's Rusalka with Glyndebourne on Tour. Now to celebrate his legacy and to raise funds for the Robert Poulton Foundation there is a concert on 1 October 2014 at St. John's Smith Square. The concert will includ performances from Rebecca Evans, Brindley Sherratt, Robert Hayward, Wynne Evans, john Graham Hall and Yvonne Howard, plus the Trinity Boys Choir.

The foundation, created by his widow Philippa aims to pay tribute to her husband's love of singing by helping to change lives through music. As part of the new foundations work, a community choir will be founded at St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne with the aiming of enriching the lives of those directly involved with the hospice and to help forge wider community links. There will also be specialised singing tutors in two schools based in Inner London, concentrating on whole class sessions with Key Stage 2 children.
