Wigmore Hall Learning Young Producers 2015 is a group of young people aged 15 to 17 from three secondary schools in Tower Hamlets who have come together, under the auspices of Wigmore Hall Learning to plan, promote, budget for and present a concert at the Wigmore Hall. The result is Evolution: A Journey through Jazz on Wednesday 11 March 2015, in which the group Brass Jaw takes the audience on a journey through jazz from the Roaring Twenties to the modern day. Brass Jaw is a jazz quartet of alto, tenor and baritone saxophone and trombone which works without a traditional rhythm section to create performances which embrace the jazz tradition whilst reaching out towards new musical territory.
The Young Producers team was split up into different groups responsible for Accounts, Marketing and Publications, Operations and Box Office, and Programming and Artist Liaison. They have come up with an interestingly creative concept for the evening, with Brass Jaw-themed mocktails and a through-the-decades photo booth! Further information from the Wigmore Hall website.
