In addition to it range of choral concerts (which includes Haydn's Creation and music by Peter Maxwell Davies, Scriabin and Beethoven), the London Symphony Orchestra has a range of Singing Days to get everyone singing. Each day is devoted to a particular work, starting with a workshop and ending with an informal performance with piano, and there are group discounts if you want to bring your friends or fellow choir members. There are workshops devoted to Haydn's The Creation with Simon Halsey (4/1/2014), Rachmaninov's Vespers with David Lawrence (25/1/2014) and Beethoven's Mass in C with David Lawrence (22/6/2014)
If you live or work in EC1 there is also an LSO Community Choir which performs regularly at the Barbican and LSO St Lukes, with rehearsals taking place on Monday evenings at LSO St. Luke's. There is no audition process but there is currently a waiting list, see the LSO Community Choir web page for details. For young people there is the LSO Youth Choir, which is open to young people aged 7 upwards that live or go to school in Hackney, Islington or the City. They also rehears at LSO St Luke's on Mondays. The next LSO Community Choir concert is Friday 22 March 2014 , and the next LSO Youth Choir Concert is Monday 31 March 2014.
