Rosenblatt recitals continue at Wigmore Hall

On  Monday 14 January, Italian tenor Fabio Armiliato makes his London recital debut at Wigmore Hall as part of Rosenblatt Recitals. This season is Rosenblatt Recitals first one in their new home at Wigmore Hall. Armiliat will be accompanied by Marco Boemi in a programme which combines songs by Sir Paolo Tosti, arias by Puccini, Cilea and Verdi, with songs by Donaudy and Beethoven. The season continues with recitals by Alex Esposito, Damiano Salerno, Ivan Magri and Pretty Yende.

Armiliato was recently seen in Woody Allen's film To Rome with Love (watch a clip here: http://bit.ly/SKVeWA).Italian bass Alex Esposito debuts at the Royal Opera as Leoporello and will be performing a programme of arias by Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti with songs by Tosti, Cesti and Carissimi. Damiano Salerno won praise for his singing of the title role in Grange Park Opera's Rigoletto in 2011 (see my review on this blog); he sings arias by Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi and Wolf-Ferrari.

Rising Italian tenor Ivan Magri makes his London recital debut on 23 May with arias by Verdi and Donizetti plus music by Flotow, De Curtis and Gastaldon. South African soprano Pretty Yende won Placido Domingo's Operalia competition in 2011 and made her La Scala debut in 2010 in Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro.
