On Sunday 14 April 2019, pianist Simon Callaghan and Clíodna Shanahan will be giving a special fund-raising recital at Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, WC1R 4RL in aid of the hall's Sunday Concert Series (founded in the 1880s, the chamber music concert series is the longest-running of its kind in Europe).

Callaghan and Shanahan's programme of music for piano duet will include two giants from the piano duet repertoire, Mozart's Sonata in C K521 and Schubert's Fantasy in F minor D940, alongside Ravel's original version of Ma mère l’Oye and Chaminade's Pièces romantiques Op.55

I will be giving the pre-concert talk, titled A Partial History of the Piano Duet: from domestic entertainment to ballet scores, I will be looking had the fascinating history of music for two people at one piano, with some side-long glances at the personalities involved.

Full details from the Conway Hall website.
