On 23 October 2022, Crouch End Festival Chorus, Finchley Children's Music Grup & London Orchestra da Camera, conductor David Temple, will be giving the premiere of Songs of the Reef by Australian composer Cassie To as part of a concert, Adams to Elgar at Alexander Palace Theatre. Chorus and Orchestra will be joined by contralto Jess Dandy for Elgar's Sea Pictures and the programme is completed with John Adams' Harmonium.

To's new piece is a commission from Crouch End Festival Chorus which explores the extinction and regeneration of the coral reefs using texts by Cherissma Blackman-Costelloe that tell of the deep connection between the Reef, its creator Bhiral and the Yidinji People (an Aboriginal Australian people in Far North Queensland). To's music also incorporates recordings of sea creatures.
