Anjan Shah is an Indian American saxophonist and player of the bansur and as a performer he is interested in fusing Indian culture with Western sounds. Rhapsody in राग जोग (Raag Jog) is a 22-minute work commissioned by Anjan Shah from American saxophonist and composer Drew Zaremba that is rhapsodic in form and celebrates the fusion of diverse influences. This performance features Anjan Shah on bansuri flute/tenor saxophone, Jonathan Epley on guitar, Nabin Shrestha on tabla, Amy Shook on bass and Drew Zaremba conducting the Chicago Studio Orchestra.
