Take a Rosenblatt Recital home with you

Rosenblatt Recitals and Opus Arte logos
Rosenblatt Recitals are expanding. Having, this season, moved to the Wigmore Hall and started a partnership filming the recitals with Sky Arts, they have now announced a new partnership with the Royal Opera House's recording label Opus Arte. This will enable a series of recordings to be issued on CD and digital download. The artists involved will by Ailyn Perez, Lawrence Brownless and Anthony Michaels-Moore, with CD's released in April 2013.

The recordings will contain a mix of items recorded live at Rosenblatt Recitals (taken from their archive recordings made over the past 13 years) and items recorded in the studio. Soprano Ailyn Perez, accompanied by Iain Burnside will sing arias from Massenet's Manon (taken from her live St John's Smith Square Recital) plus Spanish songs by Obradors and De Falla. Tenor Lawrence Brownlee, also accompanied by Iain Burnside, will sing songs by the America composer Ben Moore plus live recordings of arias by Donizetti and Rossini, plus Liszt's Petrach Sonnets. (See my review of Lawrence Brownlee's recital opening the 2012/13 season). Finally baritone Anthony Michaels-Moore, accompanied by Michael Pollock, will perform Stanford's Songs of the Sea and Songs of the Fleet, Vaughan Williams Three poems by Walt Whitman and Songs of Travel.

Opus Arte plan to release five to six Rosenblatt Recitals CD's per year, discs scheduled for Autumn 2013 will feature Ailish Tynan and Ekaterina Siurina.
