The Opera and Music Theatre Forum (OMTF) is presenting a one-day conference at the Royal Opera House on Wednesday 13 November. The conference focuses on the question 'what will the world be like in 2030 and how will we deal with it?'
There are talks on what the world will be like in 2030 (!), and panel discussions under the heading 'The Future Starts Here'. Participants include Kasper Holten, Director of Opera at the Royal Opera House, Bill Bankes-Jones, Artistic Director of Tete a Tete Opera, playwright Mark Ravenhill, Nicholas Cleobury from Mid-Wales Opera, James Clutton from Opera Holland Park, Frederic Wake-Walker from The Opera Group and Mahagony Opera, Marcus Romer, Artistic Director of Pilot Theatre in York, and Bill Winters, CEO and Chairman of Renshaw Bay.
