Only 60% of the Wigmore Hall's income comes from ticket sales and public subsidy, the remainder needs to be found from philanthropic support. One of the ways that the hall bridges the gap is by marshalling the audience itself. Last year the audience gave £85,000 to the hall's Annual Fund which helps bridge the gap and enables the hall to put on its programme.
