There is a nice article about our crowdfunding (http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/quickening) for my new Cd, Quickening, in our local paper, the Brixton Bugle (http://brixtonblog.com/). I've lived in the area for 30 years, and in 2015 they covered the premier of my opera The Genesis of Frankenstein at the CLF Art Cafe in Peckham.
The feature article on the page is about the pianist Winifred Atwell, who in Brixton in the 1950s opened a ground-breaking hair salon for Black women.
Read more about Quickening: songs to texts by English and Welsh poets on the Crowdfunder website.
