A list of my songs

Robert Hugill: For David on his Birthday

I love lists of things (though I am very bad at keeping the lists up to date). The other day I was tidying my music cabinet and came across my settings of Michelangelo's sonnets, in translations by J.A.Symonds, and I wondered whether I had actually finished the songs.

This led me to looking at all the songs and song cycles that I had produced. Some were written for specific events or people, whereas others were simply ideas that came to fruition (or didn't).  Below, I have listed all of the songs and song cycles that I am happy to be let out of their confinement in my music cabinet. If anyone is interested further, I am always happy to provide details.
