In Harmony Sistema England, based on the Venezualan El Sistema, was originally inspired by a Proms performance by the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra six years ago. This Sunday, watched by 300 proud parents and supporters from Liverpool, the children of In Harmony Liverpool made history as the first Sistema-based programme in England to perform in the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
In Harmony Liverpool is led by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and is part of the national In Harmony programme funded by the Department for Education and National Lottery through Arts Council England. Further information from the In Harmony Sistema England website.
