The Metier Ensemble are Claire Overbury (flute), Sophie Rivlin (cello) and Elspeth Wyllie (piano). The concerts take place from 6pm to 7pm at the Forge, Camden. On 8 September the repertoire includes Poulenc’s flute sonata and Debussy’s cello sonata, complemented with two trios that have been highly-popular with previous audiences, Philippe Gaubert's impressionistic Aquarelles, and a light-hearted dance suite by Jean-Michel Damase.
The concert on 1 December includes music by Hamilton Harty and York Bowen plus a commission, Trapeze, by Joseph Atkins and the final concert will include music by Fikret Amirov, Janacek and Josef Suk. Further information from The Forge website
