In this month's edition of Classical Music magazine I have an article celebrating the Dresden Music Festival's 40th anniversary. Featuring an interview with the festival's intendant, Jan Vogler we talk about this year's festival (18 May to 18 June 2017), the Reformation and the re-opening of the festival's original home, the spectacularly re-furbished Kulturpalast. I will be going out to the festival's closing event when Beethoven's Leonore (the original version of Fidelio) is being performed in the Kulturpalast.
