Giovanni the Oxford Don - Hampstead Garden Opera's new production

Hampstead Garden Opera will be presenting their 30th (and last) opera at Upstairs at the Gatehouse in Highgate from 6 to 15 November 2015. Directed by Genevieve Raghu and conducted by Jonathan Heyward the production will be sung in a new English translation by Benjamin Hamilton. 

Raghu's production updates the action to modern day Oxford University, with Giovanni a 'Don' at the university, bringing in dating websites and social media. Joseph Kennedy and Jerome Knox share the title role, with Samuel Lom and James Quilligan as Leporello, Emma Dogliani and Luci Briginshaw as Donna Anna, Heather Caddick and Fiona Hymns as Donna Elvira and Timothy Reynolds and Gethin Lewis as Don Ottavio.

For their next production the company will be moving to their new home at Jacksons Lane.
