Southbank Sinfonia was planning Family Concert on Saturday (9 May 2020), and so nothing daunted the orchestra is going ahead. On the basis that we may be all stuck on lockdown, but that doesn't mean we can't go on an adventure together, the orchestra will be presenting its first Virtual Family Concert. Players from the orchestra will present and perform music of their native countries, from their living rooms to yours, via the magic of YouTube. The concert is ideal for children aged 5–11 years, but parents and grandparents can have just as much fun too; perfect for those seeking homeschooling inspiration.
Southbank Sinfonia's Virtual Family Concert is at 11.30am on Saturday 9 May 2020, on its YouTube channel. The event is free to view, but if you'd like to support Southbank Sinfonia, please do check out their Music Director's Appeal.
