Whilst in Cologne for Kimiko Ishizaka's performance of Bach's The Art of Fugue (see my review), I was able to do some sight-seeing as well. Cologne's Roman-Germanic Museum might have an unwieldy name but this modern museum houses a wealth of treasures. Built on the site of a Roman villa (with mosaic still in situ), the museum has one of the world's largest collections of Roman glass.
