The Multi Story Orchestra, based at Bold Tendencies' car-park in Peckham, is starting its 2016 season on June 8, 2016 with a programme of Bach, Handel and Kate Whitley where the orchestra will be joined by a choir of singers from Lyndhurst and St John and St Clements Primary Schools, and young players from St Thomas The Apostle College and Harris Academy Peckham. They will perform Kate Whitley's I am, I say setting words by Sabrina Mahfouz alongside Whitley's orchestration of the first movement of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 1, and music from Handel's Julius Caesar with soloists Sarah-Jane Lewis and Edward Grint. There is a second performance on 10 June, full details from the Bold Tendencies website.

Further ahead, on 9 & 10 July 2016, the orchestra will be performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, 'Pastoral' along with one of the orchestra's signature living programme notes; a unique experience that takes place across four levels of the multi-storey car park. (Full details from their website).

The orchestra will also be performing Kate Whitley's The Animals (with Tower Hamlets Youth Orchestra), and a programme including Gavin Bryars' Jesus blood never failed me yet and Caroline Shaw's In manus tuas at the Spitalfields Music Festival (15 June 2016).
