noisenights, the classical club nights from through the noise, are expanding following four sold-out events across London last year. Four events have been announced for the first half of this year in collaboration with a variety of venues across London.
Soprano Héloïse Werner, cellist Colin Alexander and Her Ensemble will be appearing at the the Old Sorting Office (OSO) Arts Centre in association with the Barnes Music Festival (9 & 12 March 2022), BBC Young Musician finalist Toril Azzalini-Machecler presents a programme for solo percussion at The Jago in Dalston (30 April 2022), the Jess Gillam Ensemble will be performing at Well Seasoned, a new club set within Peckham Levels, a repurposed multi-storey car park (14 May 2022) and Abel Selaocoe returns with his band Chesaba for a performance of African, jazz, and classical-inspired music at Oslo, in the converted old Hackney railway station, (18 June 2022).
Each night features two classical sets at the beginning of the evening, with the second followed by live jazz, funk and afrobeat bands accompanied by a late-licensed bar. The concerts will all be crowdfunded using through the noise’s crowdfunding platform. Full details from their website.
